In this hands-on mixed media workshop geared toward older adults, participants use decorative fabric as the base for their own paintings. Attendees learn to stretch and prepare fabric for acrylic paint, then plan a composition that works with the fabric's existing colors and patterns. Drawing on the ways other artists have used this approach in their own practice, this workshop results in a finished painting where the decorative fabric becomes part of the artwork itself.
