Vitality Arts Workshops

This free, monthly series for adults ages 55 and over celebrates the power of creative aging and lifelong learning through hands-on artistic experiences.

► This event is sold out.

In this hands-on workshop geared toward older adults, participants use cyanotype, a photographic printing process that employs light to transfer images onto fabric, to create their own printed textile. Attendees design an image using paper, stencils, and transparencies, then expose and develop it on fabric using UV light. Finished pieces may be taken home along with a materials kit to continue experimenting.

This workshop is part of the Vitality Arts series presented by the Glassell School of Art, in partnership with the Community Artists' Collective and its Jubilee Quilt Circle. The Quilters in Residence program at the Glassell School of Art is sponsored by E.A. Michelson Philanthropy.

No prior experience is needed. All materials are provided at no cost. Lunch and refreshments are included.

Tickets | SOLD OUT
  • Admission is free but capacity is limited.
