The 33rd edition of the Houston Festival of Films from Iran takes place at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, with additional screenings at Asia Society Texas and Rice Cinema.
Opening with the Cannes Film Festival Palme d’Or winner and closing with the Sundance Film Festival’s Grand Jury Prize documentary, the Museum’s selections include four new releases and a landmark woman-directed film from before the Islamic Revolution. Special thanks to Tom Vick (Smithsonian National Museum of Asian Art), Katherine Irving (MFA Boston), Charles Dove (Rice Cinema), and Michael Buening (Asia Society Texas).
