Enjoy a self-guided experience in the galleries of Afro-Atlantic Histories. As you explore the exhibition, use your mobile device to access videos by dancer, scholar, and “artivist” Lindsay Gary, who is on hand to answer questions. In the videos, she performs and shares her unique perspective on Afrocentric spirituality, celebrating the powerful roles of African women.
About the Program
Admission, including entry to this event and the exhibition, is free. Lindsay Gary is the founder and artistic director of Dance Afrikana, a Houston dance company created to connect and empower people of the African diaspora through the African dance tradition.
Plan Your Visit This event takes place in Cullinan Hall, located near the entrance of the Law Building. On Thursdays, the Museum is open until 9 p.m.
