LATE FRIDAYS: MUSIC IN THE GALLERIES
Music and the Visual Arts Harmonize at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston 
 
This monthly series brings Houston’s renowned music ensembles and solo performers into the Museum’s immersive gallery spaces. While you’re here, enjoy a drink at Happy Hour Friday.
 
To celebrate the season, the MFAH and Houston Boychoir (HBC) present a caroling concert filling the galleries with the joyful sounds of festive carols and holiday music. The evening opens with the HBC choristers singing in the Beck Building atrium. Then they perform in octets stationed throughout the Museum, sharing classics such as “Deck the Halls,” “Joy to the World,” and “Silent Night.”
 
The concert concludes with the full ensemble coming back together for a short performance in Cullinan Hall in the Law Building. This set features popular and classical holiday favorites, including “Little Drummer Boy,” “Gloria,” and “Hallelujah.”

About the Performers
Houston Boychoir’s mission is “to build men of character through music.” Members of the choir, ages 8 to 18, come from diverse backgrounds and demographics. Upon graduating, alumni continue to play active roles as mentors. The group participates in seasonal concerts, concert tours, camps, workshops, service initiatives, and other programs.
