On this day, MFAH Films honors our late colleague Andrew Edmonson—culture worker, activist, journalist, and cinephile—on what would have been his 60th birthday. The inspiring British film Pride was suggested as one of his favorites.
Based on a true story, Pride follows gay activists who work to help Welsh miners during the lengthy 1984 strike in Margaret Thatcher’s Great Britain. Paddy Considine, Bill Nighy, Andrew Scott, Imelda Staunton, and Dominic West star.
