As a part of Fleet Week Houston, the MFAH welcomes the Navy Band Southeast’s Ceremonial Band for an outdoor concert. Drawing from a repertoire of traditional marches, fanfares, and national favorites, this unit performs for changes-of-command, retirements, ship commissionings, and other formal events to inspire pride and patriotism through music.

 

The traditional military band and musical representative of Commander, Navy Region Southeast, the ensemble presents more than 55 engagements annually, including official military ceremonies, community festivals, and special events.

Established in 1995, Navy Band Southeast is one of 11 official U.S. Navy Bands. Representing the Commander, Navy Region Southeast, the band consists of professional musicians dedicated to the highest levels of musicianship. Excelling in versatility, the band and its various units perform in a wide variety of musical settings, including military ceremonies, public concerts, and parades.
