Coinciding with the catalogue release for Virtual Realities: The Art of M.C. Escher from the Michael S. Sachs Collection, curator Dena M. Woodall presents a lecture on the art of M.C. Escher. In addition, she discusses how the Museum's 2022 exhibition of Escher's work has been translated into a virtual format, granting new life and global accessibility to this treasured show.
Virtual Realities was a landmark installation containing over 400 works spanning Escher's multi-decade career, including prints, drawings, watercolors, printed fabrics, and constructed objects. The newly produced catalogue is available for purchase following the lecture and in the MFA Shop.
