Summer Institute: Teach It Tomorrow—Ready-to-Use Classroom Ideas
Workshop for Elementary Teachers
June 10–12, 2026
10 am to 4 pm
Step into this hands-on professional development workshop designed with practical, ready-to-use strategies that can be implemented immediately in your classroom! Explore artifacts, artworks, and exhibits to spark student engagement, creativity, and critical thinking. Incorporate the Museum’s collections of world art into creative lesson ideas, engagement techniques, and quick-win activities across subjects and grade levels.
At the end, you'll walk away with a toolkit of ready-made resources that promote higher-order thinking skills, cross-curricular standards, SEL methods, mindfulness activities, STREAM connections, gamification ideas, ELL techniques, and more. You also receive G/T CPE credit, learning modules, and free MFAH admission passes.
- This workshop is open to all elementary-level, non-art educators
