A monthly series that brings Houston’s renowned music ensembles and solo performers into the Museum’s immersive gallery spaces. 

Music and the visual arts harmonize at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston

Experience this special program by Mercury Chamber Orchestra as they traverse musical history in the galleries. The orchestra’s mission is to serve the Houston community and beyond by celebrating the power of music through teaching, sharing, and performing with passion, intimacy, and excellence.
 
In March, Mercury presents “Traditional Music from Quebec,” an evening of vibrant traditional music from Quebec featuring Alexis Chartrand on violin.

About the Performers
Mercury began in 2000 as an intimate ensemble with the goal to enrich and entertain audiences with an exciting repertoire performed on period instruments. What started as a grassroots effort blossomed into a lively chamber orchestra beloved by the community. In 2013, Mercury rebranded and expanded its repertoire to include works outside of the Baroque period while continuing to bring inspiring music to people across Houston and beyond.
