The Guardian calls Alfred Hitchcock’s classic British mystery The Lady Vanishes “one of the greatest train movies.” The story follows Iris (Margaret Lockwood), who befriends fellow passengers on a trip before her wedding. When she notices that Miss Froy (Dame May Whitty) has not rejoined the travelers after the train stops to clear an avalanche, Iris and a musicologist (Michael Redgrave) search for the woman.
