About the Artist
Caroline Woolard is an interdisciplinary artist and organizer based in New York. Her work has been commissioned by and exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and Creative Time. Scholarly writing on her work has been published in The Brooklyn Rail, Artforum, Art in America, The New York Times, and South Atlantic Quarterly. Her work has been featured on New York Close Up, a digital film series produced by Art21. Woolard is the recipient of a fellowship from the Center for Cultural Innovation, was the inaugural Walentas Fellow at Moore College of Art and Design, and was the 2023–2024 W.W. Corcoran Professor of Community Engagement. She is currently the head of foundations in the department of art and design at Montclair State University.
