Visit Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens for an afternoon of family-friendly fun. Enjoy programs and activities spotlighting the 1776 generation with a special focus on Texas and the Gulf South.

Highlights

  • Performances by AFA Chamber Music Academy | 1:30 pm & 3 pm
  • Songs and stories of the Mardi Gras Indians, hosted by Joseph Dixon | 2 pm
  • Caller dancing demonstration and lessons | 2:30 pm
  • Art making | 1 pm to 4:30 pm
  • Houston Junior Woman’s Club volunteers host visits to the first floor of the historic house throughout the day.
