Presented by director Juan Pablo González, with Q&A including co-writer Ana Isabel Fernández

A welcome twist on the traditional films of yesteryear’s Mexican cinema, set in idyllic haciendas, Dos estaciones tells the story of María García, an iron-willed businesswoman who fights the impending collapse of her tequila factory in an increasingly globalized industry. Set in Mexico’s Jalisco highlands and anchored by the brilliant performance of Teresa Sánchez—winner of a Special Jury Prize for acting at the Sundance Film Festival—Dos estaciones is a love letter to director Juan Pablo González’s homeland, as well as a potent tale of resilience.
