In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Rienzi presents a cultural conversation with assistant curator Misty Flores and Lalaine Bangilan Little, director of the Pauly Friedman Art Gallery. Together, they explore Manila’s role in transpacific trade, the Manila Galleons, and the cultural exchanges that shaped Spanish, Filipino, and Mexican identities. The lecture highlights how Indigenous and imported influences merged in the Philippines, creating enduring craft traditions and a vibrant artistic landscape.
