In the late 1960s and early 1970s, a Swedish TV news team came to the United States to explore stories of urban unrest and revolution. The resulting treasure trove of material was rediscovered 30 years later and released as this mosaic of images, music, and narration chronicling the evolution of the Black Power movement. The Black Power Mixtape features remarkably unguarded interviews with many leaders of the movement, including Stokely Carmichael, Eldridge Cleaver, Angela Davis, and Bobby Seale.
