In this lecture, Arden Decker, associate director of the International Center for the Arts of the Americas (ICAA) at the MFAH, expands on the ICAA's programming and its instrumental role in shaping exhibitions and more at the Museum.
Since 2001, the organization has been a leader in collecting, exhibiting, researching, and educating audiences about the diverse artistic production of Latin America and its diasporic communities across the United States.

About the Speaker
Arden Decker is an art historian and curator specializing in modern and contemporary art of Mexico. She holds a PhD in art history from the City University of New York Graduate Center and is the associate director of the International Center for the Arts of the Americas (ICAA). Decker has served as a contributing curator to exhibitions including Gerzso, Gerzso, Gerzso at CCU Tlatelolco, UNAM; Niérika: el archivo Lilly at the Centro de la Imagen in Mexico City; and Frida: The Making of an Icon.
