About the Performers
Ars Lyrica Houston specializes in music from the Baroque era, the so-called “Golden Age” of the 17th and 18th centuries, as performed on period instruments with careful attention to historical style and context. Founded by harpsichordist and conductor Matthew Dirst, this Grammy-nominated ensemble seeks to harness the continued vitality and expressive power of classical music.
