This event, presented in conjunction with the 2023 Core Exhibition, takes place in Levant Gallery on the first floor of the Glassell School of Art. Admission is free.
GCPD Play is a short performance that takes place within the installation by artist-in-residence Fred Schmidt-Arenales. The script is based on excerpts from meetings, held within the last year, of the Gulf Coast Protection District, a water district whose mission is to “To protect Texas Gulf Coast communities, the environment, and economic activity from storm surge.“
