Since 1978, Numbers nightclub has been a home to the underground and LGBTQ communities in Houston, becoming one of the longest-running nightclubs in the U.S. From its early days as a gay disco through its evolution as an alternative music venue, Numbers has showcased such legendary performers as Bjork, the Cure, Grace Jones, Ministry, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and Nine Inch Nails.

Friday I’m in Love tells the club’s history alongside events like the AIDS crisis, police brutality against the LGBTQ, and the rise in hate crimes during the 1990s. Mixing personal stories with those of iconic musicians, Friday I’m in Love celebrates those who ignited and sustained its musical history and legacy of acceptance.
