Classic Taiwanese wuxia movies provided inspiration for acclaimed filmmaker Ang Lee’s high-flying adventure Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. In 19th-century China during the Qing dynasty, a warrior (Chow Yun-Fat) gives his sword to his lover (Michelle Yeoh) to deliver for safekeeping. When the sword is stolen, the chase is on to find it. The search leads to intrigue and romance with a mystery man in the frontier of the nation.
