The Monarch Chamber Players present a concert in conjunction with Crowning the North: Silver Treasures from Bergen, Norway. The program features wind quintets by Norwegian composers including Edvard Grieg and Pauline Hall, and melodies inspired by the ancient Vikings.

Monarch Chamber Players is a collective of Houston-based professional musicians committed to taking classical chamber music out of the concert hall and into accessible community spaces. Founded in October 2020 as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Monarch presents more than 80 concerts annually.
“Crowning the North: Silver Treasures from Bergen, Norway” is organized by the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, in collaboration with Kode Bergen Art Museum, Norway.
