Holiday Discovery Days at Bayou Bend

Round up your family and friends, bring your smartphone or tablet, and come over to Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens for holiday-themed digital explorations and games.
The first five outdoor activities may be enjoyed during Bayou Bend’s open hours: Tuesday–Saturday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m. and Sunday, 1 p.m.–5 p.m.
The last two indoor activities are available Friday–Sunday, 1 p.m.–5 p.m.
• Reindeer Hunt
Search for reindeer (life-size sculptures) as they get some much-needed rest in the gardens.
• Play-Along Carols
Become a musician without any training, by using special sheet music and handbells.
• Seasonal Story Stroll
Enjoy a self-guided walk through an area of the gardens featuring giant “pages” from a winter holiday storybook.
• Photo Challenge
Take a photo in each of the challenge zones, including the poinsettia-filled Diana Garden.
• All the Jolly Holly
Play a fun horticulture learning game. (for ages 12 & younger)
• Butterfly Search
Look for butterfly ornaments hidden among the festive holiday room settings on the first floor of the house.
• Holiday Decorations
See five beautiful trees filled with sparkling ornaments, and learn more about the displays.
