About the Speaker
Stewart writes and teaches on modes of ethnographic engagement based on curiosity and attachment. She is a professor of anthropology and director of the Américo Paredes Center for Cultural Studies at the University of Texas, Austin, and the author of A Space on the Side of the Road: Cultural Poetics in an “Other” America; Ordinary Affects; and (with Lauren Berlant) The Hundreds.
