About the Speaker
Donald L. Fennimore is curator emeritus at Winterthur Museum in Delaware, where he was in charge of all metal objects in the museum’s renowned collection during his 34-year tenure. He has written or co-authored articles and books including The Antique Hunter’s Guide to American Silver and Pewter and Silversmiths to the Nation: Thomas Fletcher and Sidney Gardiner: 1808–1842, as well as scholarly works on two important families of early American clockmakers: Stretch and Claggett. Fennimore is the recipient of numerous grants and fellowships.
