Virtual Concert | Music from the Museum

Johann Sebastian Bach’s concertos comprised some of his most lavish instrumental output. In celebration of this beautiful music, members of the Bach Society Houston Orchestra perform in the European art galleries at the MFAH, surrounded by paintings from the time period of Bach’s life (1685–1750). Also on the program is a concerto by Antonio Vivaldi (1678–1741). Helga K. Aurisch, curator of European art and president of the Bach Society Houston board of directors, provides brief commentary.
