The Glamour and Romance of Oscar de la Renta celebrates the illustrious life and six-decade career of the influential fashion designer. Offering a historic overview of Oscar de la Renta’s design work, the exhibition showcases ensembles drawn from the late couturier’s corporate and personal archives; the archives of the French label Pierre Balmain; private lenders; and the costume collection of the MFAH. Selections from daywear to evening gowns highlight recurring themes in de la Renta’s work, such as the influences of Spain, Russia, China, and the garden.

This 45-minute docent-led tour explores the exhibition and encourages visitors to discuss the artwork together.
