Summer Break at the Museum
Every Thursday in June and July, families are invited to Summer Break at the MFAH. Join the fun and create memories to last a lifetime.
Pick up a copy of the weekly handout to use as your guide on a trip through the Museum. Explore the inspiring and extraordinary works of art in the exhibitions and installations, and discover objects that embrace every era of history across the globe. Make your own art in the pop-up studio, and sketch an object on display in the galleries. Recommended for families with children ages 3+
Because of limited capacity and staff, we are unable to accommodate summer-camp groups or any groups of more than 10 people.
Plan Your Visit Meet in the Arrivals Hall on the lower level of the Kinder Building. On Thursdays, general admission is free, and the Museum is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Safety Guidelines In the interest of your personal safety and community health, please observe all precautions set forth by the MFAH—learn more here.
