Space City Grand Slam

Thursday, April 6, 2023

The MFAH and Writers in the Schools (WITS) present the Space City Grand Slam. This event is the culmination of Space City Slam, a series of youth poetry slams held across Houston in February and March.

Tonight, the aspiring young poets perform original work in competition for a position on WITS’s award-winning poetry team, Meta-Four. Serving as this year’s coach is Outspoken Bean, Houston’s poet laureate.
