Introduced by Houston Chronicle music critic Joey Guerra

Special performance by Selena tribute artist Amanda Solis

Jennifer Lopez stars in the true story of Texas-born Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla-Perez (1971–1995), who rose from cult status to performing at the Astrodome, with chart-topping albums on the Latin music charts along the way. Selena was on the brink of international superstardom when she was murdered at the age of 23 by the president of her fan club. Flashbacks explore Selena’s marriage and relationship with her stage father. The cast also includes Edward James Olmos and John Seda.
