Mature Audiences Only

Forty-something actor and family man Guillaume Canet (the director, playing himself) is shocked when a young costar tells him that he’s no longer considered hip by young filmgoers and is not as successful as he has been in the past. Guillaume goes on a mission to prove the starlet wrong, enlisting the help of his old friend (the late icon Johnny Hallyday, in a cameo appearance). Meanwhile his girlfriend Marion Cotillard (playing herself) becomes annoyingly preoccupied with learning Québecois for her role in a new film by Xavier Dolan.  Following self-tanning, Botox, bodybuilding and plastic surgery, Guillaume hilariously transforms himself into a parody of a virile movie star. A few extravagant musical numbers highlight this raunchy comedy that takes an unlikely journey from Paris to South Florida.
