In this free, livestreamed event, discover broad perspectives on gold’s craftsmanship and use in the ancient world, as well as its study, collection, and display in the West. Laursen shares insights from her extensive scholarship about ancient gold. Before joining the Harvard Art Museums, she curated the 2020 exhibition Lost Luxuries: Ancient Chinese Gold for the Middlebury College Museum of Art in Vermont.
