Submissions for the Glassell Junior School's annual Portfolio Competition may be dropped off today from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Winners are awarded scholarships for the 2018–19 school year.

The Glassell Junior School is located at 5100 Montrose Boulevard, one block north of the intersection of Montrose and Bissonnet. Portfolios must include 8 to 10 unframed pieces of 2-dimensional original work in a variety of media. Students should enter only their best and most recent work, completed in the previous 18 months. Winners are notified by Friday, April 28, 2017.

The Portfolio Competition is open to elementary, middle, and high school students. Scholarship awards are for one weekly class beginning the fall semester in September. Classes are offered after school, Monday through Thursday; Saturday morning and afternoon; and Sunday afternoon.
