François (Dany Boon) is a concert violinist and lifelong cheapskate. His days are ruled by his obsessive frugality, making him the subject of jokes and scorn from colleagues and neighbors. But his routine takes a drastic turn when he falls in love with a beautiful cellist (Laurence Arné) and discovers he has a 16-year-old daughter (Noémie Schmidt) who is under the impression that he is a generous philanthropist.

François spins a chaotic web of lies—until he has a revelation. A Chinese remake of “Penny Pincher” is forthcoming!
