North by Northwest

When a New York advertising executive (Cary Grant) goes on the run after being mistaken for a government agent by Cold War–era spies, he falls for a woman (Eva Marie Saint) whose loyalties he begins to doubt. Featuring a memorable encounter with a crop duster in the middle of nowhere, and a thrilling climax at Mount Rushmore, the riveting and engaging North by Northwest laid the groundwork for countless action thrillers. As the New York Times raved, “the plotting is tightly wound and the thrills are executed with devilish panache.”
