Elaine May stars in her directorial debut, the black comedy A New Leaf about self-absorbed Henry (Walter Matthau), who has squandered his inheritance. Desperate to find a way to maintain his lavish lifestyle, he sees an opportunity when he meets Henrietta (May), an awkward and bookish heiress. He courts Henrietta with a sinister scheme in mind but finds that executing it may not be easy..
