Members Preview “Afro-Atlantic Histories”

MFAH members are invited to enjoy early access to Afro-Atlantic Histories. This fascinating, in-depth look at the legacy of the African diaspora gathers art and documents linked to Africa, the Americas, the Caribbean, and Europe from the 17th to 21st century.

Holland Cotter of the New York Times said of the exhibition, “It’s a hemispheric treasure chest, a redrafting of known narratives, and piece for piece one of the most enthralling shows I’ve seen in years.”

Exclusive access is available to members at all levels, before the exhibition opens to the public. Because of pandemic safety measures and limited capacities, members are highly encouraged to get timed tickets online before arriving at the Museum. Ticket availability cannot be guaranteed for drop-in visits.

Questions? Call the members hotline at 713.639.7550, Monday–Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
