Some 100,000 film lovers in more than 500 cities across six continents gather to view and vote on the finalists in the annual Manhattan Short Film Festival. The 2021 event takes place from September 23 to October 3 worldwide. Every short film selected for the festival qualifies to enter the Oscars. See the list of finalists.

Audiences attending the program receive ballots to vote for best film and best performance, and the winners are announced when the festival concludes.

Admission Film festival ticket prices apply: General admission is $10. MFAH members, students with ID, and seniors (65+) receive a $2 discount.

Visiting Guidelines Masks are required to be worn during films and programs inside Museum auditoriums. Capacities are limited, and advance tickets are recommended.
