What if Rembrandt had an iPad? What if art from other cultures could connect to your classroom TEKS? Does modern art enhance higher-order thinking skills? Answer all these questions and more with hands-on activities, makerspace ideas, technology connections, and project-based learning strategies.

This three-day institute offers a large collection of ideas that can be taken directly back to your classroom to enrich creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and communication. The program features time to explore the MFAH galleries, including Mike + Doug Starn: Big Bambú and Art of Islamic Lands: Selections from The al-Sabah Collection, Kuwait. You can also enjoy the new Glassell School of Art public spaces: The Brown Foundation, Inc. Plaza and the BBVA Compass Roof Garden.

Each participant receives lunch and 18 hours of SBEC and G/T approved continuing-education credit. Questions? Contact teachers@mfah.org or 713.639.7831.
