Homeschool Workshop “Seeing the World in a New Way: Cubist Paintings of Georges Braque”
Homeschool families explore the work of Georges Braque in the exhibition Georges Braque: A Retrospective, delving into how the artist created his Cubist paintings that revolutionized the 20th-century art world. In the studio, participants create their own Cubist-inspired works of art on canvas.
About Homeschool Workshops
Homeschool workshops, specially designed for families who homeschool their children, feature activities that encourage parents and children to learn about and discover art together. Activities are interdisciplinary and teach about art and how art relates to other curricular areas such as language arts, science, and social studies. Each workshop includes an interactive gallery tour, followed by a group discussion in the galleries and an art-making activity that examines a select work of art. All participants receive materials to extend the lesson at home.
Families with children ages 4–9 are encouraged to register for either workshop held on Tuesday, April 8.
Families with children ages 10+ are encouraged to register for either workshop held on Tuesday, April 15.
