The Houston Girls Chorus presents a variety of winter and holiday-themed choral pieces—a selection inspired by the European masterpieces on view in Passion for Perfection: The Straus Collection of Renaissance Art. The program includes include works by Claudio Monteverdi, Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, Antonio Vivaldi, and more.

Along with the American Festival of the Arts executive director Michael Remson, this team insures that the young vocalists receive high quality choral instruction and a broad exposure to musical styles and works as well as individual training in vocal technique, music theory. and performance. Amy Moore and Stefanie Stephens are the evening’s co-conductors, featuring Amber Jamison as prep choir conductor and Shawn Heller, accompanist.
