The workshop series Art + Studio offers families an in-depth, personal, and engaging looking experience in the galleries, followed by a chance to create their own work of art in the studio.

From dancing ballerinas to scenes of everyday life, artists of the Impressionist movement infused sunlight into their paintings. At this workshop, families discover how artists such as Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, and Pierre-Auguste Renoir used natural light in their art. After exploring the paintings, guests flex their own creativity en plein air (outdoors) using paints, brushes, canvas, and sunlight. Presented in conjunction with the exhibition "The Age of Impressionism: Great French Paintings from the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute."
