Presented by Naima J. Keith, vice president of education and public programs at LACMA
(Please note that the other curator scheduled to speak, Diana Nawi, cannot attend.)

The MFAH and Project Row Houses team up for an inside look at the contemporary-art triennial “Prospect New Orleans.” Prospect.5 co-curator Naima J. Keith visits Houston to discuss the process of curating such a large-scale, citywide exhibition.

“Prospect New Orleans” presents art by local, national, and international artists in both traditional and highly unexpected environments, emphasizing collaborative partnerships and site-specificity. The experience of “Prospect” invites residents and visitors to celebrate art and artists as intrinsic to the local landscape and to engage New Orleans in unique ways. The next iteration—the fifth “Prospect New Orleans”—is P.5, on view from October 24, 2020, to January 24, 2021.

A reception follows the talk.

Drop in! This program is free. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
