Since joining the Hammer Museum in 2009, senior curator Anne Ellegood has organized solo shows with artists Diana Al-Hadid, Kevin Beasley, Jimmie Durham, Keren Cytter, and Tom Marioni, as well as the exhibition Take It or Leave It: Institution, Image, Ideology, a historical survey of American artists who changed the way our culture understands art. Recent writings include the introduction for Vitamin 3D, a survey of contemporary sculpture; an interview with Haim Steinbach for MATRIX/Berkeley: A Changing Exhibition of Contemporary Art; and catalogue essays on Iván Navarro, Kerry Tribe, and Sara VanDerBeek.
