50th-anniversary screening!

Directed by Peter Yates, Bullitt stars Steve McQueen as a police detective assigned to guard a syndicate witness, and features among its many memorable scenes an epic car chase through the hilly streets of San Francisco.

The film’s movement and tension are complimented by a stylish, jazz-inspired score by Argentinian pianist and composer Lalo Schifrin, who had collaborated with jazz artists including Dizzy Gillespie, Stan Getz, and Count Basie, before establishing himself as one of the era’s leading film and television composers.
