"Historians on the Collection"

Bayou Bend continues its popular Talk + Tour program with a series of talks presented by local historians. Speakers use objects from the collection as a window into historians’ thought processes and perspectives on the past.

After each talk, audience members are invited to join a docent-led house experience of the collection focusing on the objects, periods, and room settings addressed in the day's topic. Offered on a space-available basis; sign up in person at the event.

All talks take place at the Lora Jean Kilroy Visitor and Education Center at Bayou Bend, 6003 Memorial Drive, just east of Memorial Park. The lectures are presented free with admission to Bayou Bend. RSVP encouraged: 713.639.7750.
