Families are invited to art workshops, games, performances, and more during this afternoon of fun presented jointly by Rienzi and Bayou BendComplimentary transportation between the two house museums is provided. Refreshments are served.

At Bayou Bend’s Kilroy Visitor and Education Center, enjoy the colonial cooking station, art-making activities, live music, and historical games. Chef Nick Castelberg visits with a demonstration highlighting food traditions in early Texas. 

At Rienzi, celebrate Hispanic Heritage month with Songs from the Heart. This bilingual performance introduces young and old to early vocal literature and period instruments. Solo vocal works focus on Spanish and Latin American selections.

Family Day is free! Drop in to participate. The event takes place at Rienzi and also at Bayou Bend’s Lora Jean Kilroy Visitor and Education Center. Last admission is at 4:30 p.m.
