This Art Encounters session encourages you to lend a hand in the creation of wearable art similar to works in the exhibition Mending: Craft and Community—Selections from the Museum’s Collection.
Using the work of featured artists Nick Cave and Peter Tully as inspiration, you can select from a range of common, everyday materials to create wearable art. Then attach materials like bread ties, plastic bags, and fabric scraps to a series of garments and see them come to life by the end of the evening.
Drop in! This program is free. On Thursdays, Museum general admission is free, courtesy of Shell Oil Company.
