Alam

Houston Palestine Film Festival

This coming-of-age drama follows Tamer, who leads a typical teenager’s life: bored at school, hanging out with friends, at odds with his family. The arrival of a beautiful new classmate changes everything. She is an activist who persuades Tamer to participate in a political action on the eve of Israel’s Independence Day. The experience has life-changing consequences. Alam won the Best Film and Audience awards at the Cairo International Film Festival.
