November 26, 2013–January 1, 2014
Bayou Bend is renowned for its annual Yuletide tradition featuring festive lights, decorations, and holiday room settings that bring Early American celebrations to life.
Yuletide: Holiday Time at Bayou Bend is a festive stroll through 250 years of history to see how previous generations have celebrated with family and friends. This year, the exhibition features a room dedicated to Early American children’s toys and vignettes of opulence that celebrate the 1830s, a time when the United States was beginning its climb to wealth and power. Past favorites include a Victorian "cobweb" game and Benjamin Franklin’s Christmas dinner.
The 2013 Yuletide exhibition receives generous support from Sheila and Steve Miller.
